Libertarian Party of Connecticut

The Libertarian Party of Connecticut has a special email list for activists. Members can use a special email address to send important messages to the other list members to let them know when action is needed on an issue. Please note that messages to this list should primarily be restricted to items which ask for a particular action to be taken (e.g. attend a rally, sign a petition, send an email to an elected official, write a letter to the editor - you get the idea).

There is also a list for general discussions of libertarian philosophy, issues and ideas. Please subscribe to the Opinions list for those types of discussions.

Features of the Activists mailing list:

You can subscribe or unsubscribe at any time.
The volume is usually quite low. You won't be inundated with email.
Only list members can send email to the list, and it must be sent from the registered address. You will not receive spam through this mailing list.
Individual email addresses are not displayed.
The email address of the message sender is displayed.

How to subscribe to the Activists email list:

Send an email message to lpct-activists-subscribe@dld2000.com with no other special text required. You will receive a confirmation email. Usually all you have to do is send a reply. The directions are in the body of the confirmation email. Email from the list will be sent to this address and you will be able to post to the list only from this address.

How to unsubscribe from the Activists email list:

Send an email message to lpct-activists-unsubscribe@dld2000.com with no other special text required. Send the unsubscribe request from the email address you wish to unsubscribe!

How to send email to the members of the Activists email list:

Send an email message to from your registered email address and it will be resent to the entire Activists list.
As the sender of the message, your email address will be displayed as part of the message.
Please be considerate when sending to the list. Is it something you'd want to receive?

Please put "need assistance - Activist list" in the subject line and describe your troubles int he body of the email.

Please remember, libertarians respect privacy. This email list is maintained privately on our server and is not shared with any other organization.

Please also remember that this email list is private property and no person has a right to use the list. If you disregard general, established email list etiquette, or if you use the list for non-activist items, you will be gently reminded what the list is for (no hard feelings). In extreme situations of repeated lack of cooperation you may be removed from the list and restricted from re-joining.
