Leadership
The Libertarian Party of Connecticut is a volunteer-driven political organization governed by its bylaws and directed by an elected State Central Committee.
Our leadership is responsible for legal compliance, financial oversight, communications, organizing, and supporting local affiliates and candidates. We are a small but growing organization focused on building a durable, grassroots alternative in Connecticut.
State Committee Officers
The following officers are elected or appointed in accordance with the Libertarian Party of Connecticut bylaws and serve on the State Central Committee.
Chair – Jonathan Johnson
Oversees party operations, strategy, and official communications. Serves as the party’s chief executive officer as defined by the bylaws.
Vice Chair – Dan Granda
Supports organizing, affiliate development, and candidate support. Assists the Chair and helps ensure continuity and compliance across party operations.
Secretary – Brandon Cousins
Maintains official records, meeting notices, and compliance documentation required by party bylaws and Connecticut law.
Treasurer – Breandan Parker
Responsible for financial reporting, campaign finance compliance, and stewardship of party funds.

Governance & Growth
Additional directors, committee chairs, and affiliate representatives are elected or appointed as the party grows, in accordance with the Libertarian Party of Connecticut bylaws.
