What We Believe

Libertarians believe the answer to America's political problems is the same commitment to freedom that earned America its greatness: a free-market economy and the abundance and prosperity it brings; a dedication to civil liberties and personal freedom; and a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade as prescribed by America's founders.

In Connecticut, this means fighting sky-high property taxes and state income taxes, ending government mandates that infringe on your body and business, protecting your Second Amendment rights against restrictive laws, reforming criminal justice to focus on real victims, and pushing school choice to break the government education monopoly. We're the only party consistently defending your freedoms on all issues—economic and personal.
